Passionate and committed, I am seeking a position where I can utilize and expand my data analysis skills to contribute to improving public health at the community level. I am interested in improving adolescent health by focusing on the resources and agency available within that population. My sense of adventure has not only taken me to many amazing places, but also lets me embrace each new challenge as an opportunity to learn and grow. I truly appreciate collaborating with colleagues and community members but do enjoy independent work. PROFESSIONAL HISTORY

Adolescent Health Epidemiology Intern, Association of Maternal & Child Health Programs

May to September 2021

Completed literature review and formed research question to investigate the prevalence of teen dating violence among non-heterosexual students. Designed analytic plan and performed weighted descriptive and logistic regression statistical analyses with national survey data using SAS. Documented analytic methods and reported results for audience of policy experts

Title V Maternal and Child Health Block Grant Intern

November 2020 to Present

Collaborated with Minnesota Department of Health staff in the creation of annual federal reporting documents, priority briefs, and internal presentations. Focused on including a health equity lens and systems language in writing.

ASSOCIATE MICROBIOLOGIST, ANALYTICAL LAB GROUP

June 2018 to August 2021

Conducted antimicrobial product testing according to client-specified parameters for EPA claims with accurate GLP documentation of data. Started and maintained bacterial and fungal cultures. Identified microbial samples through staining and biochemical assays. Evaluated and worked with antibiotic resistant bacterial cultures.

EXTRACTION TECHNICIAN, LABCORP

February 2017 - June 2018

Prepared patient samples for analysis, performing liquid-liquid and solid phase extractions according to company standard operating procedures. Identified equipment requiring maintenance and completed routine disinfection within the laboratory.

Processed soil samples, pipetting resulting slurries for subsample testing. Performed soil homogenization and took initial moisture measurements. Completed requested procedures in accordance to laboratory standards.

PROGRAM ASSISTANT, LWF JERUSALEM PROGRAM

July 2015 - July 2016

Managed The Lutheran World Federation Jerusalem Program website, and finalized the transition into the new website format. Acted as project manager, writer, photographer, and assistant editor on the 2015 Annual Report. Managed guesthouse reservations, maintenance requests and oversaw guesthouse staff. Edited, translated, compiled, and contributed to the writing of English publications. Communicated with national and international partners. Coordinated social media content. EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE

MPH, UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA

2020-2022

Anticipated graduation date in May, 2022. I completed my degree in Maternal and Child Health with minors in Epidemiology and Sexual Health. I focused on adolescent health, completing research in teen dating violence at both a national level and within the state of Minnesota. Additionally, I am collaborating in qualitative research investigating the experiences young adult women in their body image, exercise and diet habits while engaging with social media both before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.

BA, WARTBURG COLLEGE

2009-2013

Received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology with an emphasis in Writing, achieving a GPA of 3.5. During my college career, I conducted a senior research project regarding non-spatial memory in female mice, interned with the Waverly Health Center, held two campus jobs, led two Spring Break service trips, and was a three-year member of the Wartburg College Concert Bands.
